Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. She can fluently speak French, German English, and Romanian. Her father, a theatre professor in one of the top Romanian theatre schools, is an instructor in theatre. The young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as the first European Shooting Star.
